The recently released Quadrennial Defense Review (QDR) document has expectedly reemphasized the Department of Defense's (DoD) call for increased Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) platform, payload and supporting technology development and procurement, paving the way for a multitude of opportunities and growth potential. The QDR also reinforced Congress' December 2009 approval for full funding on the DoD’s UAS budget request, totalling in the billions. With the successes of UASs in Iraq and Afghanistan and their potential for even greater capability, the DoD's demand for unmanned aircraft has extended from their immediate needs requirements to well into the future.

This comprehensive conference brings together key officials and representatives from both government and industry that will examine the recent developments, most critical capability gaps, and likely future direction for unmanned aircraft systems.

What are the Services’ and COCOM’s roadmaps for Unmanned Aircraft Systems?

How will blended wing body, slowed rotor compound, and hypersonic flight technology change UAS development?

How will UASs collaborate and team with other unmanned aircraft, manned aircraft, and ground assets?

What key enabling technologies are in the works and what doors will they open for UASs?

What are the latest lessons learned from users, military exercises, and industry on UASs?

These and many other questions will be addressed at this outstanding event.
